WHAT IS GOOGLE PLAY ARTIST HUB?

Google Play Artists Hub allows artist to sell their music directly on the Google Play store (formerly the Android Market and Google Music).

The service is the “direct route to selling and sharing your music with fans”. With the Artist Hub, artist can create their own store page, set their own pricing, as well as offer up unlimited albums for sale. Each artist store page includes a bio, photo, links and the original music available for sale. Google Play users can access an artist’s store and purchase songs instantly on any device.

The service offers artist several promotional features such as limited time price reductions, or album-only purchases. In addition to selling on Google Play, artist hub users can link to their YouTube channels from their Google Play store page, so fans can find your videos. For YouTube Partners, any songs offered through Google Play can also be promoted next to your video content.

There is a one-time $25 setup fee for each artist page with a 30% commission on sales, artist keep 70%.

Any artists who is doesn’t currently have a record or distribution deal can join Artist Hub with just a Google account.
